Throughout RHV’s ministry in South Africa, our most valuable partnerships have come from teams and individuals who join us in the work. These people have made a tremendous impact in the lives of the children and staff at The Village. And so many of the people who come for a short time, share that the experience changed their life as well.

Teams and volunteers help with many aspects of the ministry. They have built houses, nurtured the children, participated in outreach and joined in wherever needed. The nature of the work here allows people from many different backgrounds, with many different gifts to exercise their faith in service to God. Usually, team members say that they expected to come to The Village and contribute to the ministry, only to find out that they feel they received far more than they gave.

Opportunities to Serve

We have many different opportunities to be involved:

Teams: Most of our teams come from church groups. Typically they spend 2 weeks working with us here at Restoring Hope Village. Our team schedule fills up quickly. We have flexible dates throughout the year. Please contact us if you'd like to form a team.

Short-term Volunteers: This aspect of ministry has grown quickly. Individuals spend from 1-12 months assisting with the work. Short-termers are able to invest more deeply in the relationships here due to their extended stay. They get valuable ministry experience and see a side of God's work that is frequently overlooked.

Long-term Staff: We are looking for dedicated individuals who would commit their lives to service with us. One of our biggest needs is a qualified teacher. If you believe that God may be asking you to follow Him in faith with us, please contact us.
